The story
The Micro is the last and strangest member of the family. It is astonishingly small, it disappears into a jacket pocket, with a tiny but bright, backlit, pixel-perfect screen and swappable faceplates.
The trade-off is right there in the size: it plays Game Boy Advance cartridges only. No backwards compatibility with the original Game Boy or Color library at all, which limits it for collectors who want one machine for everything.
Released at the tail end of the GBA's life and quickly overshadowed by the Nintendo DS, it sold modestly and is now a sought-after curiosity. The faceplate system makes it a lovely little thing to collect.
